He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dickey and Sarah Dickey (Roberts); his siblings, Infant Joann, Ruth Ella Martin (Jim), Margie Dickey, Bill and Harry Dickey; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Spiller, Richard Willet and Fleet Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dickey (Smith); his son James Emerson Dickey II; his sisters, Nancy Jean Smith (Norman), Ann Willet, Kay Stanley and Margaret Spiller; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Dickey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews.
