With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Markel of Penn Run, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 20, 2020 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Markel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Dutko and Mary Dutko (Zuzulia); her husband Frank Markel; her son Francis Markel; and her siblings, Mary Miner, Phillip and Eugene Dutko.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Markel (Rose) of Penn Run, Kathy Porter (Dennis) of Penn Run and Sandy Silvis (Danny) of Penn Run; her siblings, Barbara Bomba and Charles Richards (Theresa); and her daughter-in-law Charlene Wyno (Markel) of Dallas, PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Department.
