It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosa Castellano of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Giuseppe Lazzaro and Maria Tavella. She is survived by: her husband Joseph; her children, Maria Antonette Castellano, Antonio Castellano (Cindy Ames) and Rose Dent (Robert); her grandchildren, Dominic, Sofia, Carissa Yuhasz (Jake), Marla Betts (Nick), Jacob, Jackson, Madison Yuhasz, Logan and Riley Betts; and her siblings, Carmela Paravati and Gregory Lazzaro. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. (7450 Saltsburg Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235). A Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (825 2nd St, Verona, PA 15147).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
