He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Handelong and Emily Handelong (Snyder). He is survived by: his fiancée Loretta Raph; his children, Beth, Stacey Handelong and Derek V. Handelong (Jennifer); his siblings, Roberta Ruger, Mary Beam and Chester "Chet" Handelong (Lorraine); and his grandsons, Hunter and Jacob Handelong.
