She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Buchanan and La Burta J. Buchanan (Corley); and her sister Marta L. Buchanan. She is survived by: her husband George B. Hixon; her sister Terry Buskirk (Michael) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her uncle Jerry Corley (Doranna) of Grand Prairie, TX; and her nephews, Jayson M. Schleifer and Michael E. Buskirk, Jr..
