He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene L. Gruver (Appleman); his parents, Jack Gruver and Ethel Gruver (Johnson); and his sister Jane Jiorle. He is survived by: his children, David M. Gruver (Nancy) of Pen Argyl, Michael D. Gruver (Candace) of Bangor and Patricia Sparano (Joseph) of Bethlehem; and his brother Richard Gruver. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
