Joan Derea Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Derea of Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, born in Rahway, New Jersey, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sexton and Margaret Sexton (Ruddy); and her grandson Michael L. "Mikey" Racciato. She is survived by: her husband Fred C. DeRea; her children, Laurie Cote' (Mark) of Bethlehem, Michele Racciato (Phil) of Pen Argyl, Fred C. DeRea, Jr. (Sheila) of Roseto and David DeRea (Cristie) of Bangor; her grandchildren, Aubree Cote', Philip Racciato and Alena DeRea; and also, Lori Brousseau (Dan) of Easton, Nichole, Lauren and Bill Staples of Nazareth.
Interment will be private at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton. Due to present Covid-19 guidelines, capacity restrictions, face coverings and social distancing practices will be followed.
