Joseph Koniszewski Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Koniszewski and Theresa Koniszewski; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Angela Yanni; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Yanni, Tracy Yanni, Marianne Yanni, Lou Martarano and Jerry Mele.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Mary Yanni; his children, Joseph, Julia and Alissa; his siblings, Jack (Jane), Cathy (Charles "Buddy" Zuzzio) and Jim; and his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Martarano, Angela Mele, Madeline Yanni, Roseann Tormey (Fred), Sam Yanni, Thomas Yanni (Bobby Alatorre) and Michael Yanni. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James M. Margotta Funeral Home (1019 Main St, Peckville, PA 18452). A Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (1101 Willow St, Peckville, PA 18452). In this capacity, Joe always advocated for the students, including trying to keep kids in school and sports during COVID.
