Mearkle of Patton, Pennsylvania, born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 76, on April 28, 2021. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence H. Swaney and Ellen M. Swaney (Roberts); her spouse Merle Leo Mearkle; and her brother Elmer "Chub" Swaney. She is survived by : her daughter Autumn Barger (Jay) of Altoona; her grandson Drake Leo Barger of Altoona; and her sisters, Peggy McKee of Duncansville and Patty Hale of Altoona. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Janet's memory to: Fiske United Methodist Church, 785 Fiske Road, Fallentimber, PA 16639.
