With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Esther Donahue-Smith of Patton, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Esther shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Esther farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Donahue and Inez Donahue (Stevens); and her siblings, Louis Donahue and Yvonne Leib. She is survived by: her husband Fred R. Smith; her son Nathaniel Smith (Ashley); her grandchildren, Colton and Remington Smith; and her siblings, Edward and Bert Donahue.

“Shocked to see her Obit. in Tribune Democrat. What happened to my buddy? We worked together at the Court House for 21 years and also worked with Fred. And we kept in touch on Face book-I was hoping we could get together for lunch one day. Seems we're all too busy to get together.
