She was predeceased by: her husband John W. "Jack" McClay; her parents, Malcolm G. Townsend and Mildred Walpole Townsend; and her daughter Lori McClay. She is survived by: her children, Michael McClay (Debbie) of Parkesburg, Barbara McClay of Christiana and David McClay (Ellie Ratigan) of Chester Springs; her grandchildren, Lauren, Courtney, Michael and Kallie; her great grandchildren, Joshua, James, Michael, Mason and Aubrey; and her siblings, Donald M. Townsend of Sarasota, FL, Harry R. Townsend of Lexington, KY and Joyce Townsend Oakes of Largo, FL..
