He is survived by: his wife Connie Hanaway (Dampman); his sister Leanne Hanaway Sweet (Michael); and his children, John Hanaway (Char), Stephen Hanaway (Lori), David Hanaway (Nancy) and Jennifer Taggart (Greg Buchman). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Association.
