He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dixon and Elizabeth Mitchell Dixon; his son James E. Dixon, Jr.; and his siblings, Melissa Hunter, Eugene Dixon and Richard Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Constance Wilson Dixon; his children, Shirley Dixon of Cochranville and Gerald Dixon (Chrisia) of Clermont, FL; his daughter-in-law Patricia A. Dixon of Coatesville; and his siblings, Mary Woods of Lancaster, Bette Trowery of Philadelphia, Dorothy Merritt, Haywood Dixon (Doris), York, Antoinette Stewart of Lancaster, Charles Dixon (Marcie) of Lancaster and George Dixon (Marie) of Parkesburg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
