She was predeceased by: her husband William C. Townsend; her parents, Samuel Mellinger and Josephine Mellinger (Powell); and her siblings, Leroy, Wayne, Donald, Bobby, Johnny Mellinger, Betty Smith and Doris Meredith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra (Jeff Pluck) and Pamela (John Hochmuth); her grandchildren, Rob Webster, Michele Reynolds (Mark), Jessica Detwiler (Chris), David Hochmuth (Shannon) and Ashley Bellamy (PJ); her great grandchildren, Lily, Cole, Piper, Landon, Shealyn, Ava and Harper; and her sister Ruth Johnson of Modena.
For the past 18 months, Hazel received loving hospice care; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Brandywine River Valley Hospice, 1011 West Baltimore Pike, Suite 207/208, West Grove, PA 19390.
