He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Joan Chapman; and his parents, Edward N. Chapman and Frances E. Chapman (Smith). He is survived by: his children, Margaret Ann Elizabeth Montgomery and Gregory J. Chapman (Susan); his grandchildren, Nicole, Madison, Brittany, Abbi, Tyler and Evan; and his great grandchildren, Quentin, Maggie, Helena and Diana.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
