He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn Coulter Walton; his parents, Albert E. Walton Sr. and Neva R. Guiney Walton; his daughter Dana M. Walton; and his siblings, Marvin, Albert Jr., Ed, Carl, Carol, Gladys and Shirley.

He is survived by: his children, James B. Walton (Lavinia) of Coatesville, Scott W. Walton Sr. (Missy) of Coatesville and Crystal L. Killian of Honey Brook, PA; his grandchildren, Scott Jr., Tyler, Caitlin, Mallory, Madison, Jimmy and Chad; his great grandchildren, Brady, Levi, Bryan, Matthew, Michael, Cally Rae, Kinsley, Bradley Ann and Emma; and his sister Betty Lou Stirling of Parkesburg, PA..
