He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Trimble Skethway; his parents, William Skethway and Pauline Miller Skethway; his son Richard Allen Skethway; his granddaughter Jill Marie Henderson; and his sister Barbara L. Shivery.

He is survived by: his children, Diana L. Fralich of Mt. Joy, Kimberly A. Skethway (Troy Grumelli) of Paradise, Pamela Y. (Richard English) of Lancaster, Shari L. (Clifford Reifsnyder) of Lancaster and James R. Skethway (Charmaine Jackson) of Quarryville; his sister Shirley S. White of Lancaster; and his close friend Doris Brackbill of Lancaster. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
