He was predeceased by: his wife Carol J. Linderman Griffith; his parents, John Sr. Griffith and Elsie Baum Griffith; and his siblings, Joseph Griffith, Herbert Griffith and Shirley Ann Whiteman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Christina Miller (Marc) of Paradise and Margaret Taylor of York, PA; and his grandsons, Jonathan and Brayden.
