He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Mathews and Eleanor G. Mathews (Gallagher). He is survived by: his wife Donna Mathews; his son Jeff Powell (Maria); and his siblings, John Mathews and Eleanor Jeffries. He is also survived by three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
