With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Esplin Young of Paoli, Pennsylvania, born in Payson, Utah, who passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Lavoy and Phoebe Lytle Esplin; her husband Lowell Spencer Young; her siblings, Thomas Lavoy Esplin II, Lucinda Esplin Bowers, Susan Esplin Blazzard and Jane Esplin Campbell; her daughters, Yvette Young Hadley (Chet), Rachel Young Johnson (Marc) and Caroline Young Sadler (Dee); her grandchildren, Spencer, Katie, Lorenzo, Samuel, Sterling, Elijah, Emma, Maxx, Jacob, Luke, Jack, Christian, Johanna, Asa and Zoe; and her daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Young Ott (Ed).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humanitarian Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

“Dear family, Joann and I had a special relationship as young girls when I would visit St. George with my family each summer. It was fun to spend “cousin” time together. She had many talents which I greatly admired. As adults we were able to briefly meet on several occasions when we found ourselves in close proximity. It was wonderful then to meet all of you. My love to you as you adjust to life without her earthly presence. Edna LambTerry”
