He was predeceased by: his father Vincent Bernard Payne, Sr.; and his wife Patricia J. Payne (Bretz). He is survived by: his children, Tammy Schmidt (Michael), Diane Groff (Thomas), Sandra Herr, David V. Payne (Mariellen) and Timothy Payne. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N Ramona Rd, Myerstown, PA 17067.
