He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Carpenter and Beulah E. Carpenter (Shaeffer). He is survived by: his wife Anna R. Carpenter (Barnhart); his children, Denise Beamenderfer (Gene) and Roger Carpenter, Jr.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Helt, Megan Posey, Katie Carpenter, Nathan and Andrew Beamenderfer; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Ethan, Luke, Savannah, Jordan and Jocelyn; and his siblings, Loretta Landis, Faye Givler, Dorothy Hossler (Lee) and Dennis Carpenter (Diane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
