He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Talalai and Valeria Talalai (Barkiewicz); his siblings, Edward, Irene and Elizabeth Kowalewski (Floyd); his stepsiblings, Steve, Josephine, Anna and Valeria; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Jones and Shirley Miller (Robert).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Talalai (Sarnowski); his sons, John "Jack" R. Talalai (Jessica) of Camp Hill, James J. Talalai (Terri) of Mechanicsburg and Jeffrey A. Talalai (Janet) of Palmyra; his grandchildren, Trevor Talalai, Brianne Talalai, Kaylee Talalai, Gregory Talalai (Theresa), Jena Johns, Brooke Munifo (Joseph), Rachael Li (DiTong) and Ryan Talalai; his great grandchildren, Leanna, Colson, Levi, Lincoln, Emmi and Vivianna; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Talalai and Jim Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
