He was predeceased by: his parents, John S., Sr. and Mary Gergle (Bomgardner). He is survived by: his wife Frances K. Gergle (Holiway); his children, Stephen John Gergle and Stephanie J. Strayer; and his stepdaughters, Kristina Nicole Staub and Sunny Jo Goodyear. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
