He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Mellinger (Sullo) and William Mellinger; and his brother Robert A. Mellinger. He is survived by: his wife Lois E. Mellinger (Boyer); his children, Rebecca K. Stewart (Cory) of Lititz, Carissa B. Mellinger (Eric) of Palmyra, Andrew J. Mellinger (Phoebe) of Philadelphia and Erica G. Mellinger of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his sister Jan L. Irwin (Sam) of Jonestown. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
