With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James R. Armstrong Sr. of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Armstrong and Verna Armstrong (Snavely); and his brother Ronald Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Rita Armstrong (Murray); his children, Victoria Cassel, James Armstrong, Jr., Matthew Armstrong, Melissa Parker and Erica Shutt; his grandchildren, Brianna, Jeremy, James, III, Tiffany, Jacqueline, Latasha, Dorianna, Damian, Justice, Curtis, Cheyenne, Steven, Sr., Nickolus and Ayden; his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Quinn, Preslee, Juliet, James, IV, Addison, Adilyn, Brantley, Krista, Steven, Jr. and Aleigha; and his siblings, Shirley Baum, Judith Myers and Harvey "Skip" Armstrong, Jr..
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (25 W Pine St, Palmyra, PA 17078).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Legion Post 910, 75 Fisher Ave., Jonestown, PA.
