She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin A. Smith and Lulu E. Smith (Helmick); her spouse Roderic A. Dodge; and her siblings, Ruth Smith, Alvin W. Smith, Melvin G. Smith, Mary Lee Bill, Doris L. Avery, Joyce M. Gumpher, Eldon W. Smith and Carl O. Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Debra S. Dodge of California; and her brother Forrest E. Smith (Judy) of Virginia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Miracle Network, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.

“What a dear friend we made when we moved to Palmyra! We loved Helen and she embraced us into the neighborhood. Every time her and Rod went to Red Lobster, she would bring home the cheddar biscuits for my son. She volunteered to help a neighbor clean and do laundry once a week when the neighbor was ill and in need of help for her family. Helen always made herself available to help others. Our prayers for comfort are with you, Debbie and we are so sorry for your loss. Pam & Jeff Hilbert”
