He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Shearer and Helen J. Shearer (Smith). He is survived by: his brother James Shearer; his wife Mary Ann Shearer (Wenger); his sons, Todd M. Shearer (George Romanella) and Lin A. Shearer (Kathleen Cooney); his grandson Jack Shearer; and his brothers, Robert Shearer (Carole) and Richard Shearer.
