She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold F. Floyd and Violet P. Floyd (Carmany). She is survived by: her husband Donald A. Shaffer; her children, Donald A. Shaffer, Jr. (Patricia) and Melanie K. Walls (late Timothy); and her siblings, Romaine Boyanowski (late Edward) and James Floyd. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
