He is survived by: his wife Ruthann Phillips Briggs; his daughter Erika Ann Slicer (Brandon); his grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth and Brendan H.; his brother Darcie Briggs; his half-brothers, William Briggs and James Martin; his sister Mary Ellen Dignin (Thomas); and his half-sister Betsy Briggs.
