He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita L. Cave Bauer; his parents, Joseph R. Sr. Bauer and Virginia Barrington Bauer; and his sister Nancy B. Butler. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne J. Herr (Larry) of Oxford, Joseph R. Bauer, III (Lisa) of Oxford, Jeffrey M. Bauer of Peach Bottom and Jason S. Bauer of Seattle, WA; and his siblings, Jill P. Heinold (Lynn) of Naples, FL and Wayne D. Bauer (Big Bro). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
