With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L. Gillen in Oxford, Pennsylvania, born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 17, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Gillen and Muriel Saunders Gillen; his sons, John D. Gillen and Kevin J. Gillen; and his siblings, George M. B. Gillen, Ann Wills and Patricia Montgomery.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Gillen (Ferguson); his children, Ray Young (Heather) and Patti Gillen-Steen (Ray); and his granddaughter Raylee Steen.
