She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sumner and Marguerite Sumner; her son Dennis Letterman; her grandson Ryan Payne; and her brother James Sumner (Etha).

She is survived by: her husband John C. Letterman Sr.; her children, Rev. John C. Letterman (Lisa), Rodney Letterman (Deborah) and Lynne Lara (Mike); her grandsons, John C. Letterman III (Brittany) and Andrew Letterman; her great grandchildren, Brahm, Addyson, Elijah and Lilah Rose; and her sisters, Lena Hansen (Floyd), Beverly McDowell (Pete) and Shirley Arnold (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oxford Church of the Nazarene.
