He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sheets and Malinda Sheets. He is survived by: his spouse Ola M. Hall Sheets; his children, Joyce Wilson (Charles) of Christian, PA, Jalana Thomas of Lancaster, PA, Elizabeth Gehrman (Richard) of Wahoo, NE, Sara Stava of Quarryville, PA, Martha Pell (Michael) of Peach Bottom, PA, Jeffrey Sheets (Tamathe) and Benjamin Sheets (Joan); and his siblings, Faye Henderson of Marion, VA, Nell Farmer of Mouth and Joe Sheets of Mouth. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
