Carstens of Oxford, Pennsylvania, born in East Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Doris P. Carstens; his parents, Frank Carstens and Isabelle Smith; his sister Mary Margaret Cheyney; his grandson Kevin Flad of Lincoln University, PA.; and his great grandchildren, William John Carstens of Dunkirk, MD. and James Eric Carstens of Dunkirk, MD..
He is survived by: his children, Karen Flad (David) of Lincoln University, PA, Joseph P. Carstens (Krista) of Downingtown, PA and David B. Carstens (Sharon) of Raleigh, NC; his sister Mary Francis Lockenmeyer of Manasquan, NJ; his grandchildren, Brian M. Flad (Laurel) of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie Sibley (Andrew) of Phoenixville, PA, Michelle Leisenring (Michael) of Downingtown, PA, Matthew Carstens of Downingtown, PA, Eric D. Carstens (Anna) of Dunkirk, MD, Morgan W. Carstens of Raleigh, NC and Haley E. Carstens of Memphis, TN; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Sibley, Jovie Sibley, Owen Carstens and Eloise Carstens.
