He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard H. Varner and Della E. Varner (Kennedy); and his son Mark Varner. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Varner; his children, Douglas Varner (Sandy) of Conowingo, MD and Sherrie Stanley (Michael) of Rising Sun, MD; and his sister Sandra Lynch of Lewistown, PA. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great- grandchildren.
