He was predeceased by: his mother Hilda S. Watkins; his brother Robert G. Watkins; his wife Kathryn "Kay" Wood Watkins of Anne's Episcopal Church; his sons, Dwain Wood "Woody" Watkins and Joseph Lawrence Watkins; and his son-in-law Peter J. Marcolina.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debora W. Danby (Scott) of Chadds Ford, PA and Kathryn W. Marcolina of Honey Brook, PA; and his daughters-in-law, Donna G. Watkins of Garnet Valley, PA and Jocelyn C. Watkins of West Chester, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
