She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin M. Ely and Iva M. Springer Ely; her daughter Chrissy Taylor; her granddaughter Melissa Ely; and her sister Helen Oyola.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Ely (Jill) of Huntington Beach, CA, Kathy Ely of Media, Carmen Harris (Robert G., Jr.) of Oxford, Lelonda Smith of North East, MD and Lisa Ely. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
