With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Russell Compton of Oxford, Pennsylvania, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2024 at the age of 62. As David Russell departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David Russell may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David Russell leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa A. Melrath Compton; and his mother Brenda Wyatt Compton. He is survived by: his children, David Russell Compton, Jr. (Patricia) of Quakertown, Danny Compton of North Carolina, Sam Cooper (Margie) of Oxford, Meghan (Mark) of North Carolina and Stacie Stidoms of Oxford; and his siblings, Jason Compton of Peach Bottom, Jeff Compton of Conowingo, MD and Tracy Compton of Oxford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
