He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Neyman Steele; his parents, Clarence Delbert, Sr. and Anna Boulden Steele; and his siblings, Clement Steele, Harry Steele and Judy Steele Fox.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Whitley Steele; and his children, Debra Daly (Brian) of Newark, DE, Sandra Goodley Magers (Chris) of Oxford and Mark Steele (Nancy) of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
