He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony M. Bering and Mary Bering (Havernick); his son Anthony "Tony" Bering; his son-in-law Barry Hostetter; and his sister Antoinette Hitchens.
He is survived by: his wife Janet "Connie" Bering; his children, Rosemary, Kathleen (Bogdan), Monica, Andrea (Dave) and Christopher (Kathy); his brother Dr. Joseph Bering of Lebanon, PA.; his grandchildren, Josh, Jon Davis (Elisa), Matt (Jill), Andrew Canan, Eric (Meghan), Allison Hostetter and Sarah Bering (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Blake, Madison, Grayson, Belle, Penelope Hostetter and Jack Davis; and also, Rick Davis and Mike Canan.
