He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Artz and Ruth Hand Artz; his son Nathan Artz; his sister Sandy Miller; and his brother-in-law Carl Rothermel.
He is survived by: his wife Rana Heberling Artz; his daughter Heather Martin (Billy); his grandson Nikolas Martin; his sister Connie Rothermel; and his brother-in-law Roy Miller. He is also survived by dog and faithful companion, Hershey; two nephews, a niece, and numerous cousins.
