She was predeceased by: her parent Kathryn Gruver (Brocius); her son Thomas Gruver (Pete); and her sister Shirley Hoy. She is survived by: her parent Marlin W. Gruver; her spouse Jesse T. Shay; her siblings, Janet Bensinger, Jean Wessner and Barry Gruver; her grandsons, Shad Gruver and Joshua Gruver; and her great grandchild Jonathan Gruver.
