He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Shay (Seltzer) and Jesse Shay; and his siblings, Dennis, Herbert, Arthur, Robert, Grace and Jean Private Religious.
He is survived by: his brother Vincent Shay (Faye) of Cressona; and his siblings-in-law, Barry Gruver (Victoria) of Wernersville and Gloria Wessner (Ronald).
