He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Murphy (Kessler) and Gervase Murphy; his son David Murphy; and his brothers, Russell, Francis and Earl Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Ann (Steve Strause), Richard (Rick), Thomas and Jeffrey Murphy; his grandchildren, Becky Eckert, Kelley Moyer, Jessica OConnell, Ryan Murphy, Randi Ellex, Kyle Rudloff, Jeremy Murphy and Katie Murphy; and his sisters, Joan Murphy and Shirley Polster.
