It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Darleen Shappell (Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 25, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Bartolet (Hoffman) and Kenneth D. Bartolet; her adoptive mother Bernadine Michalik; her husband Clarence "Doot" Shappell; her son Todd (Michaelene Shappell); her grandchildren, Todd Michael Jr., Brodey Kyle Shappell of Orwigsburg and Scott (Jessica Shappell); her great grandchildren, Katelyn Marie and Brandon Scott Shappell; her siblings, Marilyn Lehman of Schuylkill Haven and Wayne (Susan Remick) of Portland; her uncle Ray Hoffman of Orwigsburg; and her aunt Marion Bartolet of Auburn. She was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
