He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Topper and Gertrude Topper (Wivell); his son Daniel E. Topper; his great grandchild Evelyn Grace Topper; and his siblings, Patricia Hewitt, Regina Layman, Francis Topper, Joseph Topper, Leo Topper and Donald Topper.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn M. Topper (Adelsberger); his children, Maria Lynn Becker of Gettysburg, Christina M. Fuqua (Dean) of Athens, GA, Tamara A. Mayers (Bill) of New Oxford, PA, Lisa J. Baker of New Oxford, PA and Dean Scott Gigous (Pam) of Fairfield, PA; his daughter-in-law Dina Topper of Biglerville, PA; and his sisters, Delores Martin of Gettysburg and Miriam Barefoot of Fairfield. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
