She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Bixler and Elizabeth "Betty" Bixler (Resh); and her sister Sharon Kinneman (Bixler). She is survived by: her husband John P. Smith, Sr. of Orrtanna, PA.; her stepchildren, John P. Smith, Jr. of Gettysburg, Jennifer Smith of Gettysburg and Jamie Smith of Gettysburg; her son Buddie; and her siblings, Barry Bixler of Gettysburg, PA, Michael Bixler of Thomasville, GA and Beverly Nell (Bixler) of Gettysburg, PA.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
