He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Hippensteel; and his son George J. "Butch" Hippensteel, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Marie Hippensteel (Barnhart); his wife Margaret "Peg" Hippensteel (Kimple); his daughters, Cathy and Judy; and his sister Mary Weaver (Bill). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
