He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Winters and Mary Elizabeth Gilbert (Anderson); and his siblings, Dorothy Heflin, Lavora Stauffer, Janet, Elliot, Phyllis Kerr, Richard "Dick" Gilbert and Robert Gilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Mae Gilbert (Weaver); his children, Linda Black (Randy) of Hudson, MA, Calvin J. Gilbert, Jr., Suzanne Pinion (Danny) of Sabillasville, MD, Michael A. Gilbert (Cindy) of Rockville, MD, Barbara Gebhart (Michael), Tony Gilbert (Rita), Loretta Plitt (Mike), Gregory M. Gilbert (Tina), Karen Nowak (Alex), Patrick J. Gilbert (Beth) and Arendstville; and his brother Donald A. Gilbert (Phyllis). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
